Jun Feng is a Computational Chemist with Biogen. He worked as a NISS postdoc from 2003-2005. As a Postdoc, he developed PowerMV, a statistical analysis tool for chemists, and PharmID, a pharmacophore generation tool.
Originally from China, Feng graduated from Peking University in 1992 with a BS in Chemistry. After serving as a Research Assistant at the Chinese Academy of Science Laboratory of Computer Chemistry for five years, he attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where in 2002 he received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
In addition to his work with Pharmaceutics, Dr. Feng is also an accomplished computer scientist. During his career with Vertex Pharmaceuticals, he developed numerous widely-used desktop chemist-oriented desktop modeling tools for docking, overlay, conformation generation and real-time building.
