Professional Title:
Associate Professor, Department of Statistics

Erin Schliep is an Associate Professor of Statistics at the North Carolina State University. She completed her PhD at Colorado State University and was a postdoctoral fellow at Duke University prior to joining the faculty at Missouri. Her research focus is statistical methodology for multivariate, dependent data including spatial and spatio-temporal modeling. She has experience developing models and conducting valid inference using advanced statistical software to identify significant relationships between variables while appropriately accounting for uncertainty. In particular, she is interested in Bayesian methods for statistical inference and computing. She has experience working on large collaborative research projects at the interface of statistics, environmental science, and epidemiology and has developed and maintained strong working relationships with researchers across disciplines, universities, and government agencies.
