Using Faulty Forensic Science Courts Fail the Innocent (Op-Ed)

NISS Board member, Karen Kafadar, who is one of the SAMSI program leaders for the Forensics program next year, and professor of statistics at the University of Virginia, along Anne-Marie Mazza, National Academy of Sciences, wrote an op-ed piece in Live Science. The focus of the piece was talking about forensic science and how the system sometimes fails due to subjectivity, bias, error and other factors. Read more here.
