NISS Affiliates Meeting at JSM 2013

This year, the NISS/SAMSI Affiliates JSM Meeting will be at a different time, and will have a different character. The time is 5:30 until 8:00 PM on Sunday, August 4. The location is the Saint-Jacques Room of the InterContinental Hotel in Montreal.) Beverages and opportunities to network will be available beginning at 5:30. A buffet dinner will be served at 6:30. Over dessert, Nell and I would like to chat briefly and informally with you about four things:

• The recent changes to the Affiliates Program. We will not go over everything in detail, but do want to be sure that highlights are covered and questions are answered.
• Affiliates Workshops planned for 2013-14, on geospatial methods for federal surveys, large scale systems and measuring and evaluating healthcare quality.
• Ideas for workshops for 2014-15.
• Ways to involve your junior colleagues in the Affiliates Program.
