University of South Carolina - Instructor Position at Dept. of Statistics (Columbia, SC)

The Department of Statistics at the University of South Carolina, Columbia invites applications for an Instructor position. Strong preference will be given to applicants who have a PhD in the statistical sciences and are committed to excellence in teaching. Exceptionally strong candidates with a master’s degree in the statistical sciences will also be considered. A successful applicant is expected to teach service courses to undergraduate students and courses for undergraduate majors in statistics. Additional opportunities to collaborate on research, both within and outside the department, are available and will be encouraged, but are not required for retention. This position is ideal for the candidate who is thinking about pursuing a career in academia with teaching as the primary focus.

Required Education and Experience

PhD or Master’s Degree in the Statistical Sciences.
