Visiting Assistant Professor - Statistics
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking applications for one or more Visiting Assistant Professor positions in Statistics, to begin in August, 2024. Responsibilities are to teach three courses per semester and contribute to research activities in the department. The department invites applications and inquiries for potential professional-track positions (not eligible for tenure), with a focus either on Mathematics or Statistics. Positions that may become available include Visiting Assistant Professor and Lecturer lines, generally defined as follows:
Visiting Assistant Professors must have earned a doctoral degree in a relevant field, and will be expected to teach three courses per semester and contribute to research activities in the department.
Lecturers must have earned either a master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant field, and will be expected to teach four courses per semester.
At the current time, all professional-track positions are for one year, renewable based on performance and budget availability.
