The Department of Statistics at the University of Michigan is seeking to fill a Lecturer I position. This is a one-term appointment that may be extended subject to departmental needs and satisfactory performance.

The initial appointment period is for Winter term 2024 (01/01/24-4/30/24) with anticipation it will continue into the 2024-25 academic year and beyond. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate lab sections and/or undergraduate courses as an instructor of record, depending on the department’s needs. A lecturer teaching lab sections for a large introductory course will also assist the course instructional team with all their activities in addition to teaching lab sections. The full teaching load is three courses per year, equivalent to 7-8 lab sections of the same course. Position Qualifications: Candidates should have a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Statistics or a related field, and some college-level teaching experience.
