NISS-EIA Energy Micro Data Research Program

 

General Information

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) has established an Energy Micro Data Research Program to be conducted jointly with the National Institute of Statistical Sciences (NISS). This program is designed to allow academic and government researchers to utilize EIA restricted data bases to investigate interdisciplinary research topics of interest to EIA. Researchers must carefully describe proposed research projects, as well as their potential benefit to EIA.

Faculty Positions in Biostatistics at The University of Connecticut

The Department of Statistics at the University of Connecticut is seeking  as "target-of-opportunity" for two faculty positions in Biostatistics. One of the position is at the Full Professor level with possible tenure and the other at the rank of Assistant / Associate Professor. Both positions are available immediately.

Non-Tenure-track Positions at The University of Missouri

The Department of Statistics seeks one or more, non-tenure-track faculty positions on a one year appointment, to teach statistics during the 2009-2010 academic year, subject to budgetary approval.  Applications are welcome for full - or part-time employment and are potentially renewable. Applicants for one-semester are welcome. 

Depending on qualifications, appointments maybe made at the rank of instructor or teaching assistant professor. Applicants should possess at least a master's degree in statistics or a related -area; A PhD is preferred. 

Post-doctoral Position at Georgetown University

The Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Biomathematics at Georgetown University has an open postdoctoral position in methodology development for metabolomics. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in biostatistical methodology, proficient with statistical programming packages, and possess good oral and written communication skills. Requirements are a PhD Computer Science, Biostatistics/Statistics, Mathematics, or Biomedical Engineering. The position will be for a two year term with an immediate start date.
