This conference is hosted by the Department of Management Science and Statistics and the College of Business at the University of Texas at San Antonio. On Wednesday, March 17, a series of short courses will be offered at the same location.

Conference on Resampling Methods and High Dimensional Data

This conference aims to bring together researchers working in the areas of resampling methods and high dimensional data. Inference in high dimensional setting presents unique challenges. The conference will provide a unique platform for taking stock of recent developments in each area and for exploring the limits of resampling methods in high dimensional setting.

The keynote speakers are: Peter Bickel, Jianqing Fan, Peter Hall and Bin Yu.

2010 Affiliates Annual Meeting

This year's NISS Affiliates and NISS/SAMSI University Affiliates Annual Meeting will take place on Thursday and Friday, April 22-23 2010, in Chicago.

Thursday, April 22 (all day): This will be "Survey Day," an exciting, highly interactive program featuring recent results, problem sessions and networking opportunities relating to surveys of all kinds, from "traditional" official statistics to web search engines. This event will take place at Systat Software, 225 West Washington Street.

The Southern Regional Council on Statistics (SRCOS)

The Southern Regional Council on Statistics is an annual conference gathering young and well-known senior statisticians, to enhance research and training efforts.

The SRCOS 2010 program committee consists of Norou Diawara (ODU), David Dunson (Duke), Hao Helen Zhang (NC State), Anindya Roy (Maryland, Baltimore County), Florentina Bunea (Florida State), Jeffrey Morris (M D Anderson) and Subhashis Ghosal (NC State, chair).
